10: Activating failing youngsters? A Service Design approach.
Why do youngsters fail during their Flemish high school career? What do they experience themselves? And what to do to help the 30% of youngsters that see themselves as failures, not to get stuck in the low wage job market? At this table, I will give inside in my ESF-research project and some of the remarkable findings that led to the development of a unique service called 'JUMPlab', prototyped in close collaboration with failed youngsters and people that once considered themselves part of that group. I invite participants to share their own experiences or insights, which will help grow a service with maximum impact on youngsters and a minimal need for subsidies.
